In Australia, I was interviewed by overseas media. The topic was “the latest acne treatments”.
Acne is a concern shared around the world. There are two key points in acne treatment
• Because acne is a skin problem that occurs during a sensitive period of life, treatment needs to take mental wellbeing into account
• It is important to provide the most suitable treatment at the right time so that acne does not develop into “acne scars”
At our clinic, we use a “balanced treatment approach” that combines skincare, oral medication and device-based treatment. On this occasion, this approach was introduced as the GO-TO ACNE PROTOCOL.
Key points in acne treatment
- Treating the acne that is present now,
- while preventing the acne that will occur from now on,
- and, in addition, treating acne scars
When you consider restoring beautiful, healthy skin and maintaining mental stability, unless these three things are done at the same time, treatment can drag on or marks can remain, and it is difficult to achieve a truly good result.
Case 1: A patient for whom dermatology treatment had not been effective
This patient is a 25-year-old woman. She came to our clinic after previous treatment at dermatology clinics had not worked well for her, and we carried out the following treatment:

- Oral medication to control sebum secretion
