アラガン・エステティクスの日本の注入指導医（ファカルティー）の先生方とともに、タイ・バンコクで開催されたMD Codes Live Tour 2024に参加してきました。
過去から現在へ。ヒアルロン酸治療の進化
今から10年以上前、ヒアルロン酸注入治療といえば、シワを直接埋めるシンプルな方法が主流でした。
当初はシワを「表面的な問題」として捉えていましたが、現在ではその根本原因である骨のボリュームロスや表情筋の動きに着目する治療法が主流になっています。
この視点の変化により、単なるシワの改善だけでなく、顔全体のバランスを考慮した施術が可能になりました。
その大きな転換点をもたらしたのが、ブラジルの形成外科医 Dr.Mauricio de Maioが考案したMD Codes（MDコード）です。
MD Codesは、解剖学に基づいた正確な注入を実現し、安全性と治療精度を飛躍的に向上させました。
この体系化されたコードは全世界共通のガイドラインとして、多くの医師が一貫性のある結果を提供することが可能となりました。
MD Codes Live Tourは、ヒアルロン酸注入治療の最新の技術や理論を医師を学ぶ大きな機会となっており、今回、バンコクで開催されたMD Codes™️ Live Tourは、日本、中国、東南アジアなど各国からドクターが集まりました。
会場には、たくさんの写真撮影スポットやDr. Maurício de Maioとのプリクラ、クルクル回る動画撮影コーナーなどもあって、アクティビティも充実していました。
Cadaver Sessionから学ぶ解剖学の重要性
今回のバンコクでは、実際にMD Codes™️を用いた注入が正しい層に注入できているかを検証するCadaver Sessionにも参加しました。
注入治療は目で内部構造を確認できないブラインド操作で行うため、骨、筋肉、脂肪、血管、靭帯といった解剖学の理解が非常に重要です。今回は、内部構造を実際に確認しながら注入して、注入層の正確さを検証することができ、大きな学びとなりました。

Together with the doctors who serve as Allergan Aesthetics’ injection faculty in Japan, I took part in MD Codes Live Tour 2024, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
From past to present: the evolution of hyaluronic acid treatment
More than ten years ago, hyaluronic acid filler treatment mainly meant a simple approach of filling wrinkles directly.
At first, wrinkles were viewed as a “surface problem”, but today the mainstream approach focuses on their underlying causes, such as loss of bone volume and the movement of the facial muscles.
This change in perspective has made it possible to carry out treatment that takes into account the balance of the whole face, not simply the improvement of wrinkles.
The major turning point came with MD Codes, devised by the Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr.Mauricio de Maio.
MD Codes enabled accurate injection based on anatomy and dramatically improved safety and treatment precision.
As a systematised set of codes serving as a common guideline worldwide, it has enabled many doctors to deliver consistent results.
MD Codes Live Tour is a major opportunity for doctors to learn the latest techniques and theory in hyaluronic acid filler treatment, and this MD Codes™️ Live Tour in Bangkok brought together doctors from Japan, China, Southeast Asia and other countries.
The venue also offered plenty of activities, including many photo spots, a photo-sticker booth with Dr. Maurício de Maio and a spinning video booth.
The importance of anatomy: lessons from the Cadaver Session
In Bangkok, I also took part in a Cadaver Session that verified whether injections using MD Codes™️ were actually placed in the correct layer.
Because injection treatment is performed blind, without being able to see the internal structures, an understanding of anatomy, including bone, muscle, fat, blood vessels and ligaments, is extremely important. This time, we were able to inject while actually checking the internal structures and verify the accuracy of the injection layer, which was a valuable learning experience.

That I was able to take part in MD Codes™️ Live Tour 2024 and further deepen my own skills and knowledge is thanks to everyone at **Allergan Medical Institute (AMI)** and to the doctors of the Japanese faculty who accompanied me. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks once again for this valuable opportunity.
I will apply what I learned in my future practice and continue to provide treatment that is best suited to each individual patient and that they can feel reassured about.
